The Johns Hopkins Institute for Basic Biomedical Sciences High Throughput Biology (HiT) Center was founded in 2002 by Jef Boeke and Min Li to conduct basic research, improve high throughput technology and provide services to the greater Johns Hopkins community. Research at this center focuses on the complex interactions that underlie the functions of cells and organisms in health and disease, with an emphasis on innovative tool-building and quantitative systems approaches.
